When it comes to "user generated content", Saddam isn't hanged every night.
That's what Andrew Orlowski wrote in his article on Joost, yesterday. And it's all based on targeted advertising, apparently. I'm not entirely sure who advertises alongside badly shot video of swinging dictators? Sandline International? Tikmo Limited?

I think he may have outlined exactly why Joost is on very shaky ground. The content is going to be the sort of second-rate, mass-market slop that's been killing the concept of the TV channel and raising the importance of the TV show for the last few years. And you won't even be able to record it like you could back in the 1980s.
I just want quality content I can back-up and watch where and when I want. And I'll even pay for it.
