The taxis are cheaper than Amsterdam but don't seem to be as widely available and the drivers don't know the roads very well. On the other hand, the house wine served at lunch was cheap, plentiful and very, very drinkable.

I'm off to Brussels again, tomorrow, to pick up the keys to my new apartment. I'm moving there as soon as possible and I'll be staying for a year or so. So far my experience of Brussels has been very good: efficient public transport and efficient and friendly banks. We'll see if that lasts.

Meanwhile, I've had a very sweaty morning packing things up into boxes in advance of the movers arriving: date to be confirmed. I've also taken about a dozen bags of unwanted stuff down to the bins in the street and I've not finished.

Frankly, I'm tired after just three hours and I'm going to have a cup of tea and sit down to watch a couple of episodes of my new Naked Video DVDs.
